Branding your help centre
The help centre is the page your whole organisation sees. Fifteen minutes here is worth more than an afternoon anywhere else in the product.
What you can change
- Logo — shown in the help centre header and on generated PDFs.
- Accent colour — buttons, links and the desk pill.
- Desk names — the IT and HR desks can be called whatever your staff call them.
- Welcome text — one paragraph at the top of the help centre.
- Favicon.
Why the colour picker argues with you
It refuses a foreground and background combination that falls below a 4.5:1 contrast ratio, which is the WCAG AA threshold for normal text. Brand colours are often chosen against a logo rather than against body text, and a pale one is genuinely hard to read for anybody with even mild low vision.
If your brand colour is refused, use it for the logo and pick a darker shade of the same hue for the interface. Nobody will notice; everybody will be able to read it.
Two desks, two identities
IT and HR have separate names, separate accent colours and separate permissions, in one workspace with one bill. An HR request is not visible to the IT team, and the other way round.
